Michael Emmanuel has emerged winner of the Quramo Writer’s Prize 2018 for his manuscript, Running Waters. With his win, he  will receive a N1 million cash prize as well as a publishing contract with Quramo Publishing. The winner was announced at the award ceremony which held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.

At the event were notable writers like Sefi Atta who launched her new book “Drama Queen.” In her book, It is January 1976, and 12-year-old Timi is about to turn 13. She doesn’t have time to keep the diary she got for Christmas, but she has plenty to say about the perils of being in boarding school.

Mango Books of Quramo Publishing has opened a new chapter in the art of creative writing. This win by Michael Emmanuel of the cfwriterz team sets a precedent for the December Magazine. The cfwriterz “Freedom Magazine” has always been about promoting African Storytelling by Africans.
