Life & Medals: A CFW Anthology

Michael tells of a bastard child and the search for his father. Bamidele’s poem, “Insomnia”, is a quick glimpse into the restless awareness of death. Jeff and Raheela attempt to guide a writer’s hand in the foray of storytelling and publishing. Fatihah talks of love, innocently, simply. Resoketswe engages a bar conversation on suicide; a subject we hate to admit. There’s more.

Our job as storytellers is not to avoid mockery or to please any political balance against other races. Our first job is to express our beating hearts as truly as we can. In this volume of the cfwriterz magazine and anthology, we introduce our voices as a team that is devoted to the African story. this anthology is an in-house collection spiced with some of our top winning entries in the recent past of the cfwriterz Freedom Magazine and Collins Elesiro Prize for literature.
