It seems like a Christian book club, but is that just it?
As the last year’s conference reached the climax of events, we were awed by a paradox of emotions: immense joy that our brainchild was, against all odds, turning out to be a huge success, and sadness as it was slowly coming to an end. The remaining days skipped by in the nostalgic community of Abeokuta, and the end finally became a reality.
But we couldn’t just let it be and go our separate ways. We were thirsty for more, wishing the conference would never end. As we departed the venue, brimming with lessons passed by the wonderful facilitators and a reinforced standing in the knowledge of Christ, we knew we had to come back for another bite at the cherry of wisdom. And so, here we are, back with another edition of the Total Writer’s Convention. It’s going to bigger and better, and the aim remains the same: to groom Christian writers ready to impact the world with their talent while breaking several myths concerning the craft.
As we did last year, we have a variety of events lined up: workshops helmed by experts in the craft quickly followed by pitching sessions, spoken word performances, hands-on training sessions, movie night, competitions for all genres of literature and awards for outstanding participants. For the token of 2000 naira (early bird registration) stated as the fee for conference, there will be provision for accommodation and feeding throughout the conference.
You will not get a more affordable, less formal and all-inclusive conference anywhere else. Why don’t you take that all-important step to prune that
hedge of talent to beautiful perfection and commence the journey to the mastery of the craft, and as butter icing to your cake, even make friends on the go?
